Come meet the folks in Wakefield and join the celebration! You will find fun for all ages or just relax and listen to the live bands and singers. Activities include a parade, softball tournament, 3 on 3 basketball tournament, 10K run, vendors, turtle race, tractor pedal pull, scavenger hunt, bounce houses, rock climbing wall, dance and more.

Christmas in Clay Center is a magical time of year! Watch Santa fly into the airport, visit Santa in his workshop on the Courthouse Square, witness the lighting of almost 100 Christmas trees on the Courthouse Square, see a lighted parade, enjoy our charming light display at the zoo, and much more!

The best of the best! Join us at the fairgrounds for our annual free fair, where our 4-H groups showcase their projects, local agricultural products and livestock in a safe family atmosphere. A classic carnival with food and rides takes place during the later part of the week.
Fireworks By The Lake

An amazing display, but that's not all! Come to Wakefield for a picnic lunch in the park, live music, food and refreshments, games for all ages, youth home run derby, cornhole tournament, custom t-shirts and a 50/50 raffle. Finish it all off with fireworks over the lake starting at 10:00 pm.

A tradition since 1936, join us as we celebrate our community at our annual Piotique festival. Piotique comes from smashing two words together, Pioneer and Antique. Enjoy food & craft vendors, game booths, exciting activities, live music, and dancing in downtown Clay Center!
